Some eyes sparkle from the inside out, said Atticus. And the timing couldn’t have been better! Tata has just released an image of a micro-SUV based on the HBX Concept showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo – The Tata Punch. The SUV is based on the ALFA-ARC (Agile, Light, Flexible, and Advanced Architecture) that features Tata’s Impact 2.0 Design.

TATA’s family design language is made prominent by the split headlamps and the humanity line grille. Tata’s Punch features the Y design motifs, and a smart looking set of 15 inch alloys. The wheel cladding adds to the rugged looks of the micro-SUV.  We imagine the interior too, to be inspired by the concept, and may showcase a floating touchscreen, a part-digital driver’s display, and a flat bottomed steering wheel among other things.

An engine to match the name, the TATA may be seen with a turbocharged 1.2 pot producing 110 PS and 140 NM, besides a naturally aspirated engine producing 85 PS and 115 NM in both MT and AT guises.

The Punch will go up against the Nissan Magnite, the Renault Kiger, and the upcoming Hyundai Casper.
